Save the Children is currently beginning a comprehensive, long-term education program for children in Sumba island, NTT over the next 5-10 years.N These activities will be funded by an individual sponsorship program. Currently Save the Children has an immediate need for an experienced manager to lead our sponsorship operation.N This position will be based in Sumba island, NTT.

The position we are looking for:

Senior Manager Sponsorship a � (code: SM SPONSORSHIP) a � 1 post, based in Sumba island, NTT

The Sr. Manager for Sponsorship will lead all activities of the sponsorship program in Sumba island, Nusa Tenggara Timor (NTT) province.N This will include ensuring all program activities are implemented according to plan and at a high-level of quality; all reporting and planning is completed; all actions adhere to global sponsorship operations policies; all communications are completed in a timely and accurate manner; all child safeguarding controls are enforced; and financial and administrative management adheres to Save the Children policies and good practices.N S/he will also actively participate on the Extended Senior Management Team (ESMT) and systematically share knowledge from the sponsorship program within Save the Children in Indonesia.N This position will report to the Director Programs who is based in Jakarta.

Job Responsibilities:Responsible for overall coordination of the sponsorship program development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation and reports to Director Program to deliver high quality programming in line with the objectives of sponsorship annual plans.Lead the development and maintenance of relationships with key local stakeholders including the district and provincial government education, planning (Bappeda), and health offices; as well as elected officials and other NGOs.Ensure information exchange with key local government officials and public school principals/teachers to maximize their participation in the delivery of sponsorship program activities.Accurately track all sponsored children ensuring timely and high-quality communications between sponsored children and their families in adherence to all global sponsorship operations (GSO) deadlines.N This will include welcome letters, 30 day letters, responses to sponsor mail, and other inquiries.Ensure the high quality communications necessary for sponsor retention including written materials, videos, photos, and other media to a �tell the storya � of our work in the impact area.N Work with the program team to identify success stories. Meet additional Save the Children Partner Sponsor Servicing requirements as needed in your country office (e.g. provide content for MODA communications, service Italian or Korean Sponsors, etc).Develop, monitor together with the Director Program and the finance unit annual sponsorship budgets to ensure the effective and efficient use of sponsorship resources and to produce accurate and timely financial reports.Oversee appropriate logistics management including procurement, fleet management, and provision of goods and materials to communities.Ensure adequate human resource policies, security controls and preparedness of global SCI emergency policies are in place in accordance to the Sumba island security plan.Develop, manage organizational chart for sponsorship qualified staff together with coaching, mentoring and maintaining staff performance and other developmental opportunities.The development of an organizational culture that reflects our dual mandate (humanitarian and development) values; promotes accountability and high performance; encourages a team culture of learning, creativity and innovation; and enables our staff to deliver outstanding results for children.Help establish, maintain, and improve active and regular working relationships with: host government authorities, donors, partner agencies including major institutional donors, and local and international NGOs.Requirements:
Education: Bachelora �s or Masters degree in education or other relevant advanced degree preferred

Skill and Experiences:Minimum of 8 years of management experience in a contractor, corporate, or NGO environment, including significant field implementation experience with international NGOs.A deep understanding of pre-primary, primary, and junior secondary educational issues facing Eastern Indonesia.Management experience in Eastern Indonesia with experience in NTT preferred.Proven track of project management skills related to international development projects with a proven history of delivering results.Proven track substantial experience and knowledge of effective financial and budgetary control.Excellent ability to analyze information, evaluate options and to think and plan strategically.Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.Good English and Indonesian language skills a � both verbal and written, including writing high quality reports and presentation skills in English and Indonesia language.Excellent computer literate.Capable to work and lead effectively as part of a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team.CommitmentN toN andN understandingN ofN SaveN theN Childrena �sN aims,N valuesN and principlesN including rights-based approaches.Ability and willingness to live and work on Sumba island, NTT.Updated CV and application letter should be sent to Recruitment.Indonesia--at--savethechildren.orgN
