Title: Community Development Facilitator (CDF)
Location: Mentawai Siberut Island, West Sumatra Provinced
Report to: Program Team Leader/Area Coordinator

Yayasan Fondasi Hidup is an independent non-governmental organization based in Medan, North Sumatera and has program operations in Aceh Province,North Sumatera Province and Siberut Island, West Sumatera Province. FH has been working in Indonesia since 2005 and aims to alleviate all forms of poverty through wholistic programming and approach.
Currently, FH works in the Agriculture, Economic Development, Education sectors as well as addressing cross cutting issues such as Gender Balance and Equity, Good Governance and Disaster Risk Reduction. Our goal is to walk with families and community leaders to bring sustainable change.

Main purpose of the role
CDF (Comunity Development Facilitator) needed to implement the FHI program in the service area of Mentawai. CDF will report to the Program Team Leader (PTL) is a supervisor on the progress of the program, sponsorship communication (Child and Family Assistance) and the problems encountered in the field. In addition CDF (Comunity Development Facilitator) need to coordinate / communicate with partners in the implementation of the program. This position requires good communication skills and ability to work together as a team. The ability to be proactive and take initiative is needed for this position. In addition to being responsible for area villages facilitated CDF also responsible for the 1-2 sector program will focus specifically monitored (Livelihood / Agriculture / Health / DRR / Education / M dan E, etc.).

This role will:
CDF will work very closely with Teeam Program Leader (PTL) and Area Coordinator in facilitating the implementation of the program at the village level and facilitate the planning of community development programs at the village / district. CDF will build a cadre of community empowerment (KPM) and other local partners.

Responsibilities (JD)Implements FH programs in the Mentawai service area.Conducting assessment on the location of the program (As Needed programs / activities)Create work plan of activities in the fieldConduct staff assistance to partners / communities in the implementation of the program (including matters relating to logistics)Assist Area Coordinator in identifying partner staff capacity / community in implementing the program.Implements FH's Sponsorship program in the service area of Mentawai.Documentation process of children and families's candidate (As Needed for FH sponsorship program)Create work plan related to activities in the fieldN Perform assistance to families and children in implementing sponsorship communication (including matters related to logistics)Assist Area Coordinating in identifying partner staff capacity / community / family in implementing sponsorship communication.Identifying the needs of program staff partnerAssist Program Support Team in preparing and facilitating training and SurveyConducting informal discussions with staff partners / community / family about successes and problems encountered in the field.Documentation and Report WritingProvide information, data and reports on time.Create reports of field visits.Ensure that the report made tucked away neatly.Ensure that all information, data and reports are well documented.Monitoring, Evaluation and ReportingMonitor the implementation of programs in the field.Monitor the distribution of commodities / goods in the field.Internal Communication and CoordinationCoordinate and communicate with Senior / Program Officers in terms of program implementation.Coordinate and communicate with the Logistics Officer/section in terms of the distribution of commodities at the site.Coordinate and communicate with the Administration Officer/section in terms of the use of the vehicle for a site visit program.Perform other tasks requested by the Program Team Leader / Area CoordinatorDimensions and Limits of Authority
CDF is responsible for facilitating the implementation of a rural program and perform coordinating functions to partners and local governments to advocate the vision and mission of the program. CDF reports to the Program Team Leader / Area Coordinator and develop a cadre of village empowerment / teachers.

Qualifications, experience and competences (hiring manager can adjust depends on the position needed/required)

EssentialStrong experience for facilitating community engagement and approached with participatory method and asssesment activities on the field.Able to communicate in English, Bahasa Mentawai verbal and written.Experience of proactively identifying and addressing issues.Attention to detail.Confident and proficient user of MS Office, with advanced Excel skills.Willing to work occasional evenings and weekends.Able and willing to travel to remote and insecure locations for short periods of time and at short notice.Commitment to FH's mission and values.At least 2-5 years experience working in NGOs or international organizations.Having high levels of integrity, sensitivity, ability to adapt to a different culture and religion.Able to ride motorcycle and have a valid driving license.DesirableBasic qualification in Bachelor degree/diplomaExperience in handling program implementation and plan in child development projectN Familiarity with assessment, community transformation plan, and participatory method and community approach for assignment on the field Please send your application, updated CV, recent photograph, salary expectation and three latest references (maksimal 300kb) to ina-applications--at--fh.org no later than 13 May 2013.
