Hivos provides financial support for local NGO's, is active in networking, lobbying and exchanging knowledge and expertise. For its Southeast Asia Regional Office in Jakarta, Hivos seeks qualified Indonesian candidates for the position of:

PROGRAMME OFFICER Expression and Engagement (EE)

Reporting to the Southeast Asia Regional Director of Hivos, the Programme Officer will have responsibilities as follows:Contribute to Innovative Strategy and Policies related to Expression and Engagement (new programme title a �Opena �) both for Indonesia and for Hivos Global.Process NGO funding requests for EE programs. The process include: entrance of nominal data and project summary in project administration; assessment of organizational capacities, viability of objectives and strategies of proposed programs/activities; budget, etc.Identify potential counterparts and promising initiativesPrepare grant agreement; which includes terms/conditions of the grantConduct monitoring, including field visits and maintaining effective contacts with Hivos partner organizationsN Contribute to the development and implementation of Hivos regional and global policies, in particular those related to Expression and Engagement (EE).Participate in lobby activities in accordance with Hivos policiesOrganize occasional in-house and external seminars or consultationsContribute program highlights to Annual Report, Midterm Review, and other communication materials for use both in the Regional Office (Jakarta) and in the Head Office (The Hague)The Programme Officer will:Contribute to the development and implementation of Hivos regional and global policies and programme, in particular those related to ICT.Contribute program highlights to Hivos Annual Report, Midterm Review, and other communication materials for use both in the Regional Office (Jakarta) and in the Head Office (The Hague)Be a member of Hivos overall Expression and Engagement and maintain good communication with the other Hivos program officers EE at the Head Office a � The Hague and other Hivos Regional Offices.Identify and process NGO funding request for EE program.Qualification:

Good working experiences in communications. A degree in communication studies, development studies, arts culture, ICT or a related discipline. Good understanding of and affinity with the use of ICT/digital media/MIS and Arts/culture to strengthen the role of civil society. Experience in Project Management and strong writing communication and networking skills. Good understanding of and strong affinity with civil society, in particular with non-governmental organizations. Good command of spoken dan written English. A good team worker.
