Country Director a � Indonesia Contract: One year fixed term Ref: CD-I/IPD-SC/0313 Salary: N 30,800 per annum Base Location: Jakarta, Indonesia
We are currently recruiting for a Country Director based in Jakarta, Indonesia who will assume overall responsibility for managing IRWa �s interventions in the country. These include delivering effective programmes according to the Country Programmes and Regional Strategies, outlining resource requirements of the programme, and periodically reassessing the programme to meet its short dan long term needs. The core responsibility of the job will be to strengthen IRWa �s visibility and to ensure that all programme activities are implemented, monitored and evaluated in a timely manner and in line with IRWa �s strategic parameters.
The Country Director will also be responsible for managing an in-country team of international and local staff, and risk management ensuring compliance and quality improvement of the country programme. In addition, reviewing and reporting on the progress and finances to the International Office in Birmingham and to project donors.
The successful applicant will need to have previous experience working in senior management position in an INGO working in developing countries in rehabilitation, development or emergency contexts. The job holder should have previous knowledge and experience of fundraising from and dealing with EC, ECHO, UN and DFID. In addition, in depth knowledge of overseas management experience with an International NGOs is essential as a substantial part of the post involves Community Development, Social Protection, Food Security and Urban Poverty.
Excellent communication skills in English and local language are fundamental.
