Currently we are searching for a qualified candidate to fill the position of:

COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
The Communications Manager is responsible for the Indonesia Programa �s strategic communications efforts.N S/he works with program managers to identify communication needs and opportunities and develop communication strategies for TNC.N S/he provides support and strategic input to all communications and outreach activities within the Indonesia Programa �s conservation sites.

The Communications Manager is also the primary interface with the media for the Indonesia Program.N S/he develops and implements media and public relations plans that support the Indonesia Program, cultivates local print and broadcast media dan publicizes priority conservation issues, manages both reactive and proactive media contacts as assigned and makes use of print, broadcast and electronic media to secure placements.N S/he develops messaging and materials for special projects, events and issues and has primary responsibility for writing outreach materials in support of the program as well as coordinating releases from the Communications Unit.N S/he will manage crisis communications when called upon.N S/he develops and fosters relations with key persons in selected media and related fields to promote TNCa �s objectives.

The Communications Manager reports to the Marketing and Communications Associate Director and is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Basic Qualifications:Bachelora �s degree in English, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field and 7 yearsa � experience implementing media relations programs and measuring results or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience cultivating and managing client relationshipsExperience in project and account managementExperience in editing, proofreading, written and oral communicationsExperience with word processing, database management, and spreadsheet softwareRequirements:7 to 10 years related experience or equivalent combinationPublic relations agency experience desirableDemonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with both clients and media representativesDemonstrated initiative with ability to handle multi-faceted media environmentExcellent oral and written communication skillsExperience in media and marketing team environmentsExpert knowledge of current and evolving trends in relevant disciplineAbility to foster an environment of creativity and professional growthExperience in MS Office, Word, and Excel.N May require database management skills with ability to produce reports.N Ability to use advanced computer functions including navigating the Internet.N Ability to manipulate, analyze and interpret dataPlease send your CV and application letter to recruitment.indo--at--tnc.org, not later than April 18th, 2013.
