World Food Programme, Indonesia invites applications from the eligible candidates for the following position:

Position : National Programme Officer (Food Security Assessments)
Contract Type : Special Service Agreement/Service Contract
Duty Station : Jakarta, Indonesia
Accountabilities:
Within assigned Country-Office and under direct supervision of the Head of Technical Support, the NPO will be responsible for the following duties: Ensure WFPa �s disaster readiness in the area of information and analysis by collect and maintain pre-disaster secondary data information and develop methodologies for scenario building; Design and lead food and nutrition security assessments, including multi-cluster initial rapid assessments (MIRA), emergency food security assessments (EFSA), Comprehensive Food Security and Vulnerability Assessments (CFSVA); Work together with the UN community, including OCHA, and national counterparts, particularly BNPB and FSA, to build consensus around methodologies for disaster readiness and emergency assessments; Identify capacity gaps in the field of food security assessment and disaster readiness in government agencies and jointly design and implement programs for effective capacity development; Provide technical assistance on assessment methodology and design to the MdanE team for programme evaluation surveys, including baseline and end line surveys and impact assessments; Provide inputs to the design of WFP programmes based on VAM and MdanE information, with particular emphasis on geographical and population targeting; Produce communication materials as needed, including report and presentations on food and nutrition security matters. Provide VAM inputs on country programme documents, donor reports, proposals, briefings, and CD/DCD presentations; Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications and Experiences:
Education: University degree in one or more of the following disciplines: economics, agriculture, international affairs, geography, nutrition, social sciences, development studies or a field relevant to international development assistance.
Experience: At least one year of postgraduate professional or job related experience in development, food aid support, food security and vulnerability analysis and early warning.

Knowledge and Desirable Skills: Training and/or experience utilizing computers including word processing, spreadsheet and other standard WFP software packages and system. General knowledge of UN system policies, rules, regulations and procedures governing administration.

Language: Fluency in both oral and written English and Bahasa Indonesia.
