COFRA Program:
Mercy Corps has been awarded funds by N N N N N a private foundation for a twenty-four months period to improve the disaster resilience of populations vulnerable to hazards, who are living in Greater Jakarta Area and West Java Province. The overall objective of the project is to improve the resilience of urban and peri-urban populations vulnerable to hazards through strengthening the capacity of local communities, local government, and private sector actors to reduce risks.

1. Program
Manager - COFRA The Program Manager is responsible for coordinating and supervising a team of program staff to design, plan, implement, monitor and evaluate project activities. In addition, the Program Manager is accountable for baseline surveys, finalizing timelines, work plans, staff development, deployment and supervision as well as maintaining coordination with technical support staff and other projects and departments of Mercy Corps.

Qualifications:Possess a relevant university degree or college diploma and relevant 4 years work experience;Experience working with communities, private sector actors, disaster risk reduction initiatives and development projects;Fluency in English, both written and spoken, highly desired;Experience in Program Management, including priority setting and responding to program needs. SMILE Project:
One of the biggest obstacles to the expansion of the insurance sector is that much of the target market is unfamiliar with formal insurance and does not have basic financial literacy or education. Many potential clients do not understand how insurance works or what benefits it can offer, and for that reason they hesitate to buy insurance. This low awareness coupled with low levels of financial literacy makes poor communities even more vulnerable to the effects of disasters and other financial shocks. Insurance education, or consumer education in micro insurance coupled with financial literacy and financial management training, is an important systematic effort to provide information about risk management and the role of insurance.N The objective of financial and insurance education is to develop participantsa � knowledge, skills and attitudes in order to bring about a change in their risk management behavior.

The SMILE (Support Microinsurance Learning and Education) program will achieve two primary results:Over a period of September 2012 a � 31 December 2014, 300,000 beneficiaries will receive financial education and micro-insurance information. Especially on September a � December 2012, SMILE Program must be train 300 trainers and reach 7,500 beneficiaries.Document and share the learning process that occurs with targeted groups of beneficiaries of the SMILE program.1. Project Coordinator - SMILE
The SMILE Project Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of project implementation for SMILE program in the target communities, including project socialization, intensive coordination with donor, partner implementation, assessment, community mobilization and implementation of training/capacity building activities for target beneficiaries in coordination with community officials and others stakeholders.N Project Coordinator will be responsible to ensure the training implementation run smoothly in the field and overview all the technical support internally. Project Coordinator will need to work closely with Program Manager in planning, design, monitoring and evaluation, coordination with other involved staff (communications, procurement, other program managers), and reporting activity.

Qualifications:5 years of field-based experience in financial and or business development program;Demonstrated experience and expertise in financial literacy and or business development training;BA/S or equivalent in social science, management, Accounting, international development or similar degree;N Track Record in working with Private Sectors and Micro Enterprises;Competent English language is a must.
