KASONAWEJA PROJECT COORDINATOR

Kasonaweja Team Leader will be a part of the implementation of CIa �sN Mamberamo Program, a subcontract under the USAID IFACS project. TheN Projecta �s designed to support the USAID Indonesia Country ProgramN Strategy 2009 - 2014, Objective 2. a �Sustainable Management of NaturalN Resources,a t Intermediate Result 1 a �Improved Management of ForestN Ecosystemsa t.
The Project aims to reduce threats of deforestation andN address Climate Change (CC). The Team Leader reports to the MamberamoN Program Manager. The function of this position is to manageN implementation of the project activities and to ensure activities support the program objectives. The Team Leader will also manage theN Kasonoweja Office and staff, ensuring that individual and project workN plans and procedures are in place and implemented. This position isN responsible for maintaining good relationships with partners,N especially with the local government in Mamberamo Raya Regency andN Jayapura.

Key Duty/Responsibility:Contribute to the Program Work plan and results monitoring plan.Oversee Kasonaweja Site Office and staff; coordinate the day to dayN implementation of project activitiesin coordination with CII staff andN Consultant.Build and maintan relationships with key stakeholders, such asN relevant government official in Mamberamo Raya and ProvincialN Jayapura, Informal Leader, Community, NGOs, private sector, and otherN relevant institutions.Represent CI in other potential activities and carry out otherN duties as required by the Mamberamo Program Manager.Report to internal and external stakeholder as required, includingN regular monthly written project progress reports for the MamberamoN Program Manager.Qualifications:Degree in forestry, economy, agriculture or other related field,with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experienced in projectN management in a rural development context.Personable, creative, team-oriented and highly motivated. GoodN written and oral communication skills inN English.Experience and has a broad knowledge of social conditions, cultureN and the environment in Mamberamo.Experience in capacity building,N collaborativeN land use planning, andN policy development.Experience in planning, organizing and project implementation.Networking ability and facilitation skills.Computer skills and experience in relevant software.Strong interest in environmental issues and eagerness to expand knowledgeInterested candidates should send a current resume and cover letterN addressing the required skills and capabilities (no more than 3 pages)N to: hrd--at--conservation.or.id
