The Blue Forest Foundation is a foundation which commits on environment and humanity activities. The scope concern of The Blue Forest Foundation encompasses the watershed area -raging from headwater to downstream- both in the term of ecology, social and economy of people who live around watershed area. The Blue Forest Foundation is the metamorphose of Mangrove Action Project (MAP) Indonesia. Currently The Blue Forest Foundation, supported by Lutheran World Relief (LWR), is running a project called Climate Adaptation and Disaster Resilience (CADRE)-Increasing Coastal Resiliency and Climate Change Mitigation Through Sustainable Mangrove Management in Sumatera. CADRE project consists of three main objectives such as Ecological Mangrove Rehabilitation, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Alternative livelihood. Following up the first objective in environment preservation through Mangrove rehabilitation, the Blue Forest Foundation will conduct Ecological Mangrove Rehabilitation in order to respond a challenge in a coastal area such Singkil and Simeulue both economically and socially. We offer an opportunity to some qualified candidates to be a senior trainer.N

Scope of Work (SOW) GIS Mapper
The Successful Candidate will have proven experience with field surveys along coastal areas, working with coastal communities, participatory mapping, and production of GIS maps. The GIS mapper will be involved in some desk study and collation of existing maps and remote sensing images, and will work in both Singkil and Simeulue coordinating with local government and working directly with CBOa �s to produce sketch maps and participatory GIS where relevant. All curriculum will be provided to the GIS Mapper for community activities, and the mapper will work in a team setting during field school and other activities.

Supporting EMR
Prepare sketch maps of rehab sites and baseline maps of rehab sites with CBO EMR groups and EMR consultants. EMR mapping methodologies will be provided by EMR consultants.Supporting DRR
N Provide maps and remote sensing images depicting drastic ecological change to Chief Technical Advisor and Geomorphology consultant to create technical report on drastic ecological change in Simeulue and Singkil.Supporting NRM Planning
Work with field school trainers to develop appropriate mapping activities used in a field school setting a � leading towards spatial planning for natural resource management. This will include sketch mapping and agro-ecosystem analaysis. This may include participatory GIS mapping. N Provide mapping support for Teluk Dalam wide NRM planning. Coordinate with Panggloema Laut (Pak M. Nasir) of Teluk Dalam, local government and YHB team.Additional duties: Collation of relevant maps and remote sensing images.
