The University of Indonesia, supported by Indonesian Ministry of Planning (BAPPENAS) and Columbia University established the Center on Child Protection at the University of Indonesia in December 2009 to contribute to the systematization and professionalizing of the child protection in Indonesia. The Center is comprised of a group of interdisciplinary, cross-institutional faculty and research associates committed to promoting sustainable solutions to complex problems affecting children, their families, and communities.
The Center on Child Protection pursues its goals through three inter-related sets of activities: Research to support systems development, evidenced-based programming and policy change; Training to build the capacity of government officials and civil society practitioners; and Curriculum Support to design a skills-based concentration that prepares future generations of individuals dedicated to improving the well-being of children in Indonesia and beyond.
The Center is currently looking for a full time Logistic Officer with the following terms of references:
I. Responsibilities and Accountabilities Provide logistical arrangements and support for the Center's office and program related activities, including training and seminarsIdentify potential vendors and suppliers, compile a comprehensive and user friendly database of suppliers and vendors, conduct vendor's appraisals and obtaining quotationsRegister relevant administrative data in the project's administration systemMaintain records of all transaction, ensuring that an efficient filling system for record of all quotations, copies of records of expenditure, receipts, local order forms, etc are kept.Ensure proper filing of project related documents both in electronic and in hard copySome travel required to ensure and assist on-going activities and provide on-site logistic arrangementsOrganize shipments of logistical goods and services in time and follow upFollow all relevant procedures, processes and policiesActively share relevant communication to other team members or relevant stakeholders in relation to logistical issuesMonitors own work to correct errorsII. Qualification and CompetenciesD3 or S1 degree or equivalent (Business administration, Logistics, Management degree preferable)Excellent knowledge of event organizing processesGood knowledge of personnel and human resource, suppliers and vendor issuesGood knowledge of suppliers and vendors in Jakarta and surrounding area.N Good knowledge of suppliers and vendors in Indonesia and South East Asia is an advantage.Excellent communication skills and ability to create a team spirit in the officeGood command of written and spoken EnglishAbility to work under pressure and tight deadlinesDetail-oriented, organized and strong time management skillsAbility to work with minimum supervisionIII.
