Background:
The Australia Indonesia Partnership for Justice (a �AIPJa �) is a five year program (through to December 2015) funded by Australian AID.N

The strategy of AIPJ is to focus on realising the rights of Indonesians, in particular poor women and people with disabilities.N The program approaches realising rights by working in partnership with key government institutions (the supply side) as well as civil society and local communities (the demand side), and the intersection between the two.N

Building on the successes of previous Australian law and justice programs, AIPJ focuses on the following rights: Legal identity (birth, marriage and divorce certificates) as one precondition to realising basic economic and social rights, such as education and health care.The right to fair proceedings which are:Independent and impartialFast, consistent, affordable, and accessible.The right to (legal) information.In working to realise these rights, AIPJ focuses on both national and sub-national levels, where central decision-making is taken, and where lessons from the field can inform this decision making.N Support is targeted at areas that Indonesia has identified as being of critical importance to the sector, and for which assistance is likely to bring about sustainable and meaningful impacts, namely:Judicial dispute resolution mechanismsProsecutions OfficeAnti-corruptionLegal aid.AIPJ will also work with oversight commissions, recognising their role in strengthening accountability of the custodians of justice systems, and through that accountability, driving strengthened performance.

AIPJ is looking to employ an Indonesian national for the position of Provincial Coordinator.N This is a full-time position based in Mataram.

Duties:

The Provincial Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that AIPJ is properly represented in designated provinces and districts and that the network of partners through which AIPJ activities are implemented are properly co-ordinated, supported and provided with clear direction from AIPJ technical teams and senior management.N

The Provincial Coordinator will report to the Deputy Team Leader and will take direction from the Office Manager and Finance Manager on administrative matters.N

Specifically, the Provincial Coordinator will:Work within the Australian AID office and other local partners to support justice development at a local level, through implementing AIPJ activities at province and district level, but also informing AIPJ of local priorities to support problem solving.Identify information needs among local partners and communities and distribute AIPJ information through local partner networks and community resource centres.Ensure a continuous focus on AIPJa �s target groups a � women who are poor and people with disabilities a � and establish relationships with organisations which support these target groups, and report to central teams relevant information, developments or opportunities for AIPJ to have an impact.Develop sound relationships and regular communication with Courts, Prosecutor Offices and relevant government officials (eg MoHA) at provincial and district level.As part of Component 5, support capacity development of local CSO and DPO partners by facilitating attendance at activities organized by The Asia Foundation and AIPJ and by bringing partners together on a regular basis to share information and experiences and identify common issues.Participate as an active member or observer of the AIPD program coordinating committees in target regions, in order that these Australian AID resources across all programs can be better coordinated and targeted.Oversee logistics, finance and reporting on results of AIPJ activities, with the support of the Provincial Program Assistant.Report weekly to the Deputy Team Leader on provincial and district activities, for inclusion in the AIPJ weekly update, and to the AIPD team leader based in the province.Selection Criteria

The Provincial Coordinator will require:Demonstrated appreciation of the issues that women who are poor and people with disabilities (especially from the province) encounter in realizing their rights, and of strategies to address these issues.Experience in working within a well-established CSO or development program office.Excellent networking and facilitation skills, preferably with experience in working with partners in the relevant province and districts.Demonstrated capacity to work and take direction as part of a team.Experience in reporting on activities and use of funds.Good written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesian and English.N Funding Australian AID
