Program Officer For Central Kalimantan Project Management Unit


The Forestry Governance Programme (the FGP) of the Partnership has been implemented since June 2007. One of the main strategy is to develop program in peatland rich provinces, one among two is Central Kalimantan.N In December 2008, Kemitraan signed an MoU with the Governor to assist the province in governance reform in REDD and public service in general.N
Based on the recommendation of FGPa �s midterm evaluation in 2009 and at full impelentation in January 2010, Kemitraan set up a Project Management Unit in Palangkaraya.N PMU was established to coordinate program and activities within Kemitraana �s cluster as well as different provincial office the program has to deal with.N
The PMU led by Project Officer and assist by operational assistant.N The ProjectN Officer will work inN managing MoU and program cooperation signed by Kemitraan and the Governor of Central Kalimantan,N and including to support expanding program in relation with the appointment of Central Kalimantan as REDD pilot provinces.
Summary of key functions
Coordinating implementation of daily programatic work.N Conducting formal and informal approach to develop harmonious engagements between Kemitraan and its partners in Central Kalimantan.N Maintaining strategic comunication with senior level official in key provincial offices to meet PMU target.N Developing working relationships with key stakeholders to promote multistakeholder approach.N Managing program agreed by Kemitraan and the provincial Governents, including cooperation between Kemitraan and other partners in program planning, desain, implementing and monitoring.N Assisting in identification and development of strategic programs in Central Kalimantan
Recruitment Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor Degree (S1) degree in forestry, agricultural, social science or related educational area with a good knowledge on forestry and environment; having a good knowledge regarding forest management, climate change and development issues in general; clear commitment to the governance reform; having a good network within the Central Kalimantan in various levels; having a good skill in lobbying.
Experience:Minimum 5 years experiences in program management, facilitation and participatory research;N wide network in climate change and forestry policy environment at the regions and national level; understanding the political environment related to climate change and forestry sector; experience in working with international institution is a plus.
Language Requirements:Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
