Responsibilities:
Coordinate the preparation of Business Plans, Key Program Indicators, Strategic Plans, as well as Action and Work Plans at national and affiliate/HRC levels, to ensure that activities are consistent with the global objective to increase significantly the number of houses built and families served.Facilitate close coordination between HFHI and Habitat for Humanity Malaysia National Office and Affiliates/Habitat Resource Centers (HRCs) to ensure that office and field staff, as well as volunteers, perform their individual tasks according to high quality standards, cost-effectiveness and with a bias to benefit relatively more disadvantaged households and groups.Contribute to the development of effective training programs and equitable human resource systems to invest in and retain people of quality, who are devoted to the mission and are the primary resource of the organization.Assist in creating strong partnerships with NGOs, Government Agencies and other Civil Society Institutions so as to establish strong partnerships with them towards the provision of adequate shelter and bring about the much-needed convergence of basic services to economically and socially more disadvantaged households and groups.In consultation with NBOT and HFHI, ensure the fiscal, legal and programmatic integrity, efficiency, and effectiveness of the organization, including oversight of fiscal planning and budgeting, internal controls and external audits, mortgage tracking and statistical documentation.Prepare and submit monthly progress reports to the NBOT and/or the Executive Committee indicating accomplishments for the period, problems encountered and key areas which require policy or other interventions by the Board.Facilitate the preparation and submission of program and financial reports as required, including regular updates on SOE Requirements, and ensure that relevant problems identified are addressed promptly at appropriate levels.Facilitate the provision of technical and other support towards the establishment and sustainable operations of Habitat Resource Centers in areas feasible to do so or in partnership with institutions or corporations to train unemployed youths in marketable construction-related skills.Formulate and implement a comprehensive resource development plan at the National Office in Kuala Lumpur and assist other Affiliates and partner organizations, as appropriate, in efforts to generate funding support to Habitat for Humanity programs and projects.Ensure effective volunteer recruitment, support and engage in Habitat programs and projects and encourage documentation and replication of innovative approaches towards effective volunteersa � mobilization and deployment of local and Global Volunteers.Formulate and implement a comprehensive resource development plan at the National Office in Kuala Lumpur and assist other Affiliates and partner organizations, as appropriate, in efforts to generate funding support to Habitat for Humanity programs and projects.Ensure effective volunteer recruitment, support and engagement in Habitat programs and projects and encourage documentation and replication of innovative approaches towards effective volunteersa � mobilization and deployment of local and Global Volunteers. Requirements:
Bachelora �s Degrees and / or equivalent experience in community based organization.At least 5 years working experience in senior management and / or project coordination and implementation.Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a multi-cultural environment; willing to travel within and outside the country.Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Melayu and English.Interacts with field officers, field staff and volunteers, capitalize on opportunities and overcome obstacles to achieve program scale, stability, and sustainability growth goals in alignment with Habitat principles and core values.
