National Project Officer Environment - ILO Palangka Raya


To support implementation of the a �Green Livelihood Access for Central Kalimantan's Inclusive Environmental Response to Climate Change (GLACIER)a t pilot project, the ILO Country Office for Indonesia and Timor-Leste is hiring a National Project Officer on Environment to support infrastructure and other investments on climate change mitigation.
The assignment will support assessments on investments for climate change mitigation using participatory approaches, including community consultations, and participatory identification, design and implementation of investments to support environmental investments for climate change mitigation. Infrastructure that the National Project Officer for Environment may oversee includes, but is not limited to, water management infrastructure (dikes and dams) and reforestation investments related to the rehabilitation or preservation/conservation of the peatlands.
The tasks of the incumbent will include planning, monitoring and backstopping of all activities related to demonstration on environmental infrastructure investments that support responses to climate change using participatory local resource-based approaches and techniques to improve access to sustainable livelihoods.
